Ingredients

Crispy Mushroom Crunch

300 g (10–11 oz) button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned & halved

Salt & black pepper, to taste

Breading station

½ cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp paprika

1 tbsp olive oil

Cool Ranch Dip

¾ cup Greek yogurt

2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tbsp lemon juice or white vinegar

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp dried dill

1 tsp dried parsley

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

Salt & black pepper, to taste

1–2 tbsp cold water

Instructions

1. Prepare the dip

In a bowl, whisk all ranch dip ingredients until smooth and creamy.
Taste and adjust seasoning. Refrigerate while you prepare the mushrooms.

2. Set up the breading

Pat mushrooms completely dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.

Set three bowls:

Flour

Beaten eggs

Panko mixed with Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika

3. Bread the mushrooms

Dip mushrooms into flour → egg → panko mixture, pressing gently to coat well.

4. Cook the mushrooms

Oven method (lighter):

Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F)

Arrange mushrooms on a lined baking tray

Drizzle lightly with olive oil

Bake 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy

Pan-fry method (extra crispy):

Heat shallow oil over medium heat

Fry mushrooms 2–3 minutes per side until deep golden

Drain on paper towels
