Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon instant yeast
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon milk powder
1 egg, lightly beaten
½ cup warm water
½ cup milk
Butter or ghee, for brushing
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, instant yeast, baking powder, and milk powder. Mix well.
Add the beaten egg, warm water, and milk to the dry ingredients.
Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape them into balls.
Roll each ball into a round or oval naan shape.
Heat a heavy skillet or pan over medium-high heat (no oil needed).
Place one naan onto the hot skillet and cook until bubbles appear on the surface.
Flip and cook the other side until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from the skillet and immediately brush with butter or ghee.
Repeat with the remaining dough and serve warm.
