Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef
Ingredients
For the beef filling:
- 500g (1 lb) ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp chili powder (optional)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp tomato paste or ketchup
- ¼ cup water
For assembling:
- 4–6 tortillas (flour or whole wheat)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 cup lettuce (shredded)
- 1 tomato (chopped)
- ½ cup sour cream or yogurt
- Optional: avocado slices, hot sauce
Instructions
1. Cook the beef
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat
- Add onion and cook until soft
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute
- Add ground beef and cook until browned
- Stir in spices, salt, and pepper
- Add tomato paste and water
- Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thick and flavorful
2. Warm tortillas
- Heat tortillas in a pan or microwave for a few seconds to soften
3. Assemble wraps
- Place beef in the center of each tortilla
- Add cheese, lettuce, tomato
- Drizzle sour cream or yogurt
- Add extras like avocado or hot sauce
4. Fold & serve
- Fold sides in, then roll tightly into wraps
- Serve immediately or toast lightly for extra crispiness
