 Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

 Instructions

1. Activate yeast

  • In a bowl, mix warm water + sugar + yeast
  • Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy

2. Make dough

  • Add flour, salt, and olive oil
  • Mix until a soft dough forms

3. Knead

  • Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic

4. First rise

  • Cover and let rise for 1 hour (until doubled)

5. Shape

  • Divide into 8–10 equal balls
  • Roll each into small round discs (like in the image)

6. Second rest

  • Let them rest for 10–15 minutes

7. Cook (2 options)

Oven Method:

  • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C)
  • Bake on a hot tray for 5–7 minutes until puffed

🍳 Pan Method:

  • Cook on hot pan for 2–3 minutes per side

8. Serve

  • Stack and cover with a cloth to keep soft
  • Slice open to create pockets
