THE INSTRUCTIONS
FIRST, GET THE SHRIMP AND SPINACH READY TO BE SERVED
- To begin, preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). To prepare the prawns and spinach, you should do it while the oven is heating up.
- Two tablespoons of butter or olive oil should be heated in a large pan over medium heat. Once the garlic has been minced, add it to the pan and sauté it for a few minutes to a minute
- Once the prawns have been added to the pan, season them with salt and pepper, and cook them for around three to four minutes, or until they become pink and are just cooked through. When cooking the prawns, it is important to avoid overcooking them since they will continue to cook in the oven. When they are finished cooking, take the prawns out of the pan and lay them aside.
- Place the chopped spinach in the same skillet before continuing. The spinach should be cooked for two to three minutes, tossing it regularly, until it has wilted. Take the pan off the heat and put it aside.
PROCEED TO MAKE THE CREAM SAUCE (STEP 2)
- Heavy cream should be poured into a saucepan of medium size, and then the mixture should be brought to a simmer over medium heat. The shredded mozzarella cheese should be added in stages while the sauce is being stirred continually until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth.
- In the next step, combine the grated Parmesan cheese by whisking it in until it is completely incorporated.
Depending on your preference, season the sauce with salt and pepper. The end result ought to be a sauce that is both luxurious and velvety, and it will give the prawns and spinach a wonderful coating.
THIRD STEP: Putting together the casserole
- Mix the prawns that has been cooked, the spinach that has been wilted, and the cream sauce together in a large mixing dish. To ensure that the prawns and spinach are uniformly covered with the sauce, give the mixture a gentle stir.
- Take the ingredients and spread it out evenly in a baking dish that is 9 inches by 13 inches and has been oiled. Should you so wish, you may add a little bit more Parmesan cheese to the top for an additional layer of golden brown pleasure.
FIND AND BAKE THE CASSEROLE (STEP 4)
- After the oven has been prepared, place the baking dish inside and bake it for twenty to twenty-five minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbling around the borders. Consequently, this will make it possible for the flavours to combine, and the cheese will be able to develop a lovely crust on top.
GARNISH AND SERVE IS THE FIFTH STEP
Immediately after the casserole has been cooked, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle some freshly chopped parsley on top as a garnish to provide a splash of colour and a hint of freshness. Make sure to serve the casserole while it is still hot, either on its own or with a side of crusty bread or a straightforward salad.
