Ingredients
Vegetables
1 cup broccoli florets
1 cup cauliflower florets
1 carrot, sliced
1 potato, thinly sliced
½ zucchini, sliced
Creamy Sauce
1 cup milk
½ cup cream
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp flour
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
Topping
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Gruyère)
2 tbsp breadcrumbs
1 tbsp Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat the Oven
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
2️⃣ Prepare the Vegetables
Lightly steam or blanch broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.
3️⃣ Make the Cream Sauce
In a saucepan melt butter over medium heat.
Add flour and cook for 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in milk and cream until smooth and thickened.
Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
4️⃣ Assemble the Gratin
Place vegetables in a baking dish.
Pour the creamy sauce over them and mix gently.
5️⃣ Add the Topping
Sprinkle shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, and Parmesan on top.
6️⃣ Bake
Bake for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
