Ingredients
Crispy Tofu
200 g firm tofu, cubed
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil
Lemon Garlic Sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp maple syrup or honey
½ tsp grated ginger
Bowl Base
1½ cups cooked rice (white, brown, or jasmine)
Vegetables
1 cup broccoli florets
½ cup carrots, shredded
½ cucumber, sliced
2 tbsp green onions, chopped
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Tofu
Pat tofu dry and toss with soy sauce and cornstarch.
2️⃣ Cook the Tofu
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook tofu cubes 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally, until crispy and golden.
3️⃣ Make the Lemon Garlic Sauce
In a small bowl mix garlic, lemon juice, soy sauce, maple syrup, and ginger.
4️⃣ Combine
Pour the sauce over the crispy tofu and cook for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
5️⃣ Assemble the Bowl
Place rice in a bowl, add vegetables, and top with the lemon garlic tofu.
Tips
✔ Use an air fryer (200°C / 400°F for 12–15 minutes) for extra crispy tofu.
✔ Add sesame seeds or crushed peanuts for crunch.
✔ Swap rice for quinoa or cauliflower rice for variety.
