Broccoli Cheese Balls

Broccoli Cheese Balls
Broccoli Cheese Balls are bite-sized savory snacks made by combining cooked broccoli, cheese, breadcrumbs, and seasonings, then shaping the mixture into balls and baking or frying until golden and crispy!

Ingredients:
* 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen, cooked and chopped)
* 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
* 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (you can use panko for extra crunch)
* 1 egg, lightly beaten
* 1 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1 teaspoon onion powder
* Salt and pepper to taste
* Olive oil (for drizzling or frying)
* 1/2 cup cooked rice (optional for added texture)

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. If using fresh broccoli, steam or boil the florets until tender, then chop them finely. If using frozen, thaw and drain well before chopping.
4. In a large bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, cooked rice (if using), and the lightly beaten egg.
5. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
6. Mix everything together until well combined. The mixture should hold together when pressed.
7. Using your hands, form small balls or patties from the mixture, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
8. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
9. Drizzle a little olive oil over the top of the balls for added flavor and crispiness.
10. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
11. Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. These broccoli cheese balls are great as a snack, appetizer, or side dish.
