Magic Crispy Baked Shrimp
Ingredients:
For the Shrimp:
- 1 lb jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted and divided
- Juice from one lemon
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- For the Topping:
- 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Fresh parsley, finely chopped
Method:
- Set the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C).
- Transfer the 2 tablespoons of melted butter and the white wine into a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. To let the sauce decrease, put the skillet in the oven for ten minutes.
- Combine the garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and the remaining melted butter in a bowl. Toss in the prawns to ensure uniform coating.
- Put the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, and two tablespoons of melted butter in a separate basin.
- After taking the baking dish out of the oven, line the pan with a single layer of prawns. They should not overlap, but rather fit snugly.
Evenly scatter the breadcrumb mixture on top of the prawns. - Bake the prawns for 12 minutes, or until they are pink but opaque. Broil on high for up to 2 minutes to promote browning and additional crispiness.
Before serving, garnish with freshly cut parsley. Have fun! - 15 minutes for preparation; 29 minutes for the whole process; 4 servings
