air fryer zeppole fried dough balls (from pizza dough)
These Pizza Dough Air Fryer Zeppole Fried Dough Balls are amazing! I wish to recommend everyone to try this dish! They are quite tasty!
Ingredients;
- One pound of ready-made pizza dough
- Half a cup of powdered sugar
- two to three teaspoons of milk
Directions:
- As you shape your zeppoles, begin by forming them into balls roughly the size of a red potato. Place them in an air fryer basket or pan that has been oiled.
- Preheat your Air fryer 340 degrees Fahrenheit. After three minutes, give them a little shake to ensure equal cooking. Check to see if they are cooked through after the extra three minutes.
- Pour the milk and powdered sugar into a small bowl and stir to combine. The cooked zeppoles should be dipped in the sugar glaze. Before serving, allow it cool somewhat.
- Arrange, present, and savour!
Which Sauces Go Best With Zeppole Air Fryer
I topped it with a straightforward powdered sugar icing today. However, there are a plethora of methods to present these. Among my favourites are:
- Chocolate Drizzle
- Brown Sugar
- Caramel Drizzle
Is It Possible to Make Zeppole in Advance?
You should definitely create things the way you want to serve them. When served hot and fresh, they taste even better.
However, if you have any leftovers, store them at room temperature in an airtight container; they will keep for one to two days.
Pro Tip:
- This recipe is compatible with all models of Air Fryer ovens and baskets. This is something I’ve prepared multiple times in the Mealthy Lid, Instant Pot Crisp Lid, and Ninja Foodi.
- Depending on your Zeppole balls and the type of air fryer you’re using, the cooking time will change.
- You can serve them as is if you want not to coat them.
Try to make them roughly the same size so they cook at the same time for the best results.
