Ingredients

1 cup cooked chicken (shredded or sliced; rotisserie or grilled works great)

1 ripe avocado

½ lemon or lime (for juice)

Salt & pepper, to taste

½ tsp garlic powder or minced garlic (optional)

2 slices sourdough, whole grain, or sandwich bread (toasted if preferred)

½ cup shredded mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, or pepper jack cheese

Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, red onion, hot sauce, arugula

Instructions

1. Mash the Avocado

2. Assemble the Sandwich

Place bread slices on a baking sheet.
