Assemble with taco filling

Spoon taco meat evenly over the cheesy bread.

Add extra cheese on top if desired. Return to oven for 5 minutes until hot and bubbly.

Finish & serve

Remove from oven, top with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, sour cream, cilantro, and jalapenos.

Slice into pieces and serve warm.

Notes & Tips

Make it spicy: Add diced jalapenos or hot sauce to the taco meat.

Meal prep hack: Cook the taco meat ahead of time and refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Cheese swap: Pepper jack or Monterey Jack adds extra kick.

Alternative bread: Use ciabatta or focaccia for a denser base.
