Classic Caesar Salad

Ingredients:

1 large head of Romaine lettuce, washed and chopped

1 cup croutons (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

For the dressing:

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 anchovy fillets, mashed (optional but traditional)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon red wine vinegar

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Make the dressing:

In a bowl, whisk together minced garlic, mashed anchovies, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and red wine vinegar. Slowly drizzle in olive oil while whisking continuously until dressing emulsifies. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Prepare the salad:

Toss chopped Romaine lettuce with the dressing until evenly coated.

Add toppings:

Sprinkle croutons and freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top.

Serve immediately so the lettuce stays crisp.
