Greek Chicken Wraps with Feta Sauce

These Greek-style chicken wraps are bursting with Mediterranean flavors—juicy marinated chicken, crisp fresh vegetables, and a creamy feta sauce wrapped in warm pita bread. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner, meal prep, or even a picnic. The tangy feta sauce replaces traditional tzatziki for a deliciously rich twist.

Time

Prep time: 20 minutes (plus 30 minutes marinating)

Cook time: 15 minutes

Total time: 35–40 minutes

Ingredients

For the Chicken

1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

3 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp lemon juice

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp dried oregano

½ tsp paprika

Salt & black pepper, to taste

For the Feta Sauce

½ cup crumbled feta cheese

½ cup Greek yogurt

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 small garlic clove, minced

1 tbsp fresh dill or parsley, chopped

Black pepper, to taste

For the Wraps

4 large pita breads (or flatbreads)

1 small cucumber, thinly sliced

1 small red onion, thinly sliced

1 tomato, sliced (or halved cherry tomatoes)

½ cup romaine or mixed greens

Extra crumbled feta

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, whisk olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Add chicken, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours).

Cook the Chicken

Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).

Let rest 5 minutes, then slice into strips.

Make the Feta Sauce

Blend or whisk together feta, Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, dill/parsley, and black pepper until smooth and creamy. (Add a splash of water or more yogurt if too thick.)

Assemble the Wraps

Warm pita breads slightly (in a dry skillet or microwave).

Spread each with a generous spoonful of feta sauce.

Layer with chicken, cucumber, onion, tomato, and greens.

Sprinkle extra feta if desired, then fold or roll into a wrap.

Notes & Tips

For extra flavor, roast the chicken in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20–22 minutes instead of grilling.

Add kalamata olives or roasted peppers for a more authentic Greek touch.

If meal prepping, keep sauce separate and assemble just before eating.
