Prep: 20 minutes (plus marinating time)

Cook: 12–15 minutes

Total: ~35 minutes

Ingredients

For the Skewers:

1 lb (450g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined

1 red bell pepper, chopped into 1-inch pieces

1 yellow bell pepper, chopped into 1-inch pieces

1 zucchini, sliced into thick rounds

1 red onion, cut into chunks

8–10 wooden or metal skewers

For the Marinade:

¼ cup olive oil

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp dried oregano

½ tsp chili flakes

Salt & black pepper, to taste

Optional Garnish:

Fresh parsley, chopped

Lemon wedges

Instructions

Marinate Steak & Shrimp:

In a bowl, whisk olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, oregano, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.

Divide marinade: ⅔ for steak, ⅓ for shrimp.

Marinate steak 30–60 minutes in fridge. Marinate shrimp for 15 minutes (shrimp needs less time).

Prepare Skewers:

Soak wooden skewers in water (if using) for 30 minutes to prevent burning.

Thread steak, shrimp, and veggies alternately onto skewers.

Grill Skewers:

Preheat grill (or grill pan) to medium-high.

Cook skewers 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until steak is charred outside and medium inside, and shrimp are pink and opaque.

Finish & Serve:

Sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes & Tips

For extra flavor, brush skewers with leftover marinade while grilling (but discard any that touched raw meat).

Pair with herbed rice, roasted potatoes, or couscous for a complete meal.

Shrimp cooks faster than steak — you can skewer separately and cook accordingly if preferred.
