Spicy Yogurt–Marinated Chicken with Dill Feta Cream & Crispy Baby Potatoes

A juicy chicken dish marinated in spicy yogurt, paired with golden roasted baby potatoes and a refreshing dill–feta cream.

Ingredients 

For the Spicy Yogurt Chicken

2 chicken breasts or 4 chicken thighs

½ cup yogurt

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp chili flakes (adjust to your spice level)

1 tsp garlic powder or 2 grated garlic cloves

½ tsp cumin

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp salt

1 tbsp lemon juice

For the Crispy Baby Potatoes

300–350g baby potatoes

1 tbsp olive oil

½ tsp paprika

Salt & pepper

Optional: pinch of thyme or rosemary

For the Dill–Feta Cream

¼ cup Greek yogurt

¼ cup crumbled feta

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp chopped dill

½ garlic clove, grated

1–2 tbsp water (to thin if needed)

Black pepper to taste

For Serving

Lemon wedges

Fresh dill

Extra feta

Instructions

1. Marinate the Chicken

1. Mix yogurt, olive oil, paprika, chili flakes, garlic, cumin, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.

2. Add chicken and coat evenly.

3. Marinate 30 minutes minimum (best 2–4 hours).

2. Roast the Baby Potatoes

1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).

2. Toss potatoes with olive oil, paprika, salt, pepper, and herbs.

3. Roast 25–30 minutes until golden and crispy, shaking halfway.

3. Cook the Chicken

You can grill, pan-sear, or bake.

Pan-sear (best)

1. Heat a drizzle of oil.

2. Add marinated chicken.

3. Cook 6–7 minutes per side (thighs slightly longer) until browned and cooked through.

Oven

Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 18–22 minutes.

4. Make the Dill–Feta Cream

Mix together:

  • Greek yogurt
  • Feta
  • Dill
  • Lemon juice
  • Garlic
  • Black pepper

Mash until creamy (add 1–2 tbsp water for a smooth sauce).

5. Assemble

1. Place chicken on a plate.

2. Add crispy baby Potatoes.

3. Spoon dill–feta cream generously on the side or on top.

4. Finish with lemon wedges, extra dill, and a sprinkle of feta.

✨ Tips

Add sliced cucumbers or cherry tomatoes for freshness.

Replace chicken with tofu or paneer for a vegetarian version.

Add smoked paprika for deeper flavor.

Marinate overnight for the juiciest chicken.
