Ingredients

1 can (400 g) chickpeas, drained & rinsed

1½ tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp sesame seeds (white or mixed)

½ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp sea salt

Instructions

Preheat & Dry

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Pat chickpeas completely dry with a kitchen towel.

Roast

Toss chickpeas with olive oil and salt.

Spread in a single layer on a baking tray.

Roast 25–30 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and crisp.

Glaze

Warm honey slightly so it’s runny.

Toss hot chickpeas with honey, sesame seeds, and garlic powder if using.

Final Bake

Return to oven for 5 minutes to set the glaze.

Let cool slightly—they crisp up more as they cool.
