Ingredients:
- Two generous cups of chopped apples
- One teaspoon of lemon juice
- ¼ cup of brown sugar
- One teaspoon of ground cinnamon, divided
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- Three tsp rolled oats
- Two tablespoons of flour (all-purpose)
- One tablespoon of melted butter
Directions:
- Set an air fryer’s temperature to 350°F. Grease a small dish that fits inside the air fryer and is safe to use in the oven.
- In a small bowl, combine apples, lemon juice, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, and salt. After combining, pour the mixture into the prepared dish and securely cover with aluminium foil.
- After inserting the dish into the basket, let it air fry for ten minutes. Air fry for an additional five minutes after removing the foil, stirring, and then replacing it.
- In the meantime, mix the rolled oats, flour, melted butter, and the remaining brown sugar and cinnamon in a fresh bowl. Using a fork, toss until big crumbles form.
- Take off the foil after 5 minutes and distribute the topping over the apples. Five minutes of air fry time.
- Accompany with caramel sauce, ice cream, or whipped cream.
TIPS FOR PRECIOUS APPLE CRISP IN AIR FRYER
- To ensure that the apple crisp cooks as evenly as possible, chop the apples into pieces of a comparable size.
- After ten minutes, stir the apple mixture to allow all of the apples to soften and cook.
- To get the nicest texture, use rolled oats rather than quick oats. If not, your streusel will resemble oatmeal more than a streusel.
- To ensure that every bite of the apple has golden, crunchy streusel, evenly distribute the crumble topping it.
- Warm up and serve! Eat this food as soon as possible.
