Ingredients For Air-Fryer Crispy Chilli Chicken Recipe

Ingredients for the sauce:

  1. 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
  2. 1/4 cup Chinese black vinegar
  3. Two tsp sweet chilli sauce
  4. Three tsp of ketchup
  5. three tsp honey

FOR THE CHICKEN:

  1. a two and a third-pound chicken breast cut into thin pieces
  2. Two tsp sesame oil
  3. A half-teaspoon of light soy sauce
  4. One medium egg, whisked
  5. 200 grammes, or 1 1/2 cups, cornflour
  6. To taste, add freshly ground black pepper and kosher salt to the vegetable oil spray.

OR THE STIR-FRY: COMPOSITES

  1. two tsp of vegetable oil
  2. One red bell pepper,
  3. one onion,
  4. one handfull of fresh coriander,
  5. one handful of finely sliced sesame seeds,
  6. 3/4 tablespoon of finely shredded fresh ginger.
  7. Two large cloves of garlic were smashed.

Instructions For Air-Fryer Crispy Chilli Chicken Recipe

Step 1:

Mix the black Chinese vinegar, honey, ketchup, sweet chilli sauce, dark soy sauce, and ketchup in a basin. Stir thoroughly and reserve.

Step 2:

In a bowl, arrange the chicken strips in step two. Stir in beaten egg, sesame oil, and light soy sauce. Blend until thoroughly blended. Add pepper, salt, and cornflour and stir. The chicken strips should be split and coated equally after tossing.

Step3:

Set an air fryer’s temperature to 375°F. Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to the air fryer basket. Arrange the breaded chicken strips in the basket in a single layer. [Note: Based on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook the chicken in batches.]

Step 4:

Lightly oil the chicken and let it air fry for approximately 10 minutes, rotating it halfway through to ensure even cooking, or until the chicken strips become golden and crispy.

STEP 5:

Add vegetable oil to a big pan and heat it to medium-high.

Step 6:

Sauté the peppers and onion slices for two to three minutes, or until they start to caramelise. Sliced chilli, smashed garlic, and grated ginger are added while the heat is reduced. Stir-fry for one minute more.

Step 7:

Take the pan off of the hob.

Step 8:

Drizzle the stir-fried veggies with the prepared sauce. Toss everything until everything is equally coated, then add the cut coriander and the crispy air-fried chicken.

Step 9:

Add sesame seeds to the top for a finishing touch. Serve right away.
