Air Fryer Shrimp Fajitas
Shrimp Air-Fried You have plenty of time to gather the ingredients for the fajitas and arrange the table because fajitas are ready in thirty minutes and require little work once they are cooking.
With all of the same deliciously gently charred vegetables and shrimp, cooking a batch of shrimp fajitas in the air fryer takes about the same amount of time as cooking them on the stove—just without the hassle or stirring.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon powdered garlic
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon divided salt
- One green bell pepper, seeded and sliced into quarter-inch pieces
- One red bell pepper, seeded and sliced into quarter-inch pieces
- One yellow bell pepper, seeded and sliced into quarter-inch pieces
- One big onion, peeled and sliced into quarter-inch pieces
- Spray with olive oil
- One pound of raw, peeled and deveined giant prawns, either fresh or frozen
Directions:
- Mix the salt, cumin, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Put aside.
- Add the onion and bell peppers to a medium-sized bowl. Apply a liberal amount of olive oil spray. Toss to coat after adding half of the cumin mixture.
- In a second medium bowl add shrimp and spray generously with olive oil spray. Toss to coat and add the remaining cumin mixture. Put aside.
- Put the seasoning-coated veggies in the air fryer basket. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. After inserting the air fryer basket, cook for ten minutes.
- Place prawns in the air fryer basket and stir in the onions and peppers. Put the air fryer basket back in and cook for an additional ten minutes. Serve right away.
SERVING SHRIMP FAJITAS
This recipe is best when served immediately. I like to put out a big platter of warm tortillas, fresh cilantro, lettuce, sliced avocado, crumbled queso fresco, plus salsa and sour cream. You’ll definitely want fresh lime wedges to squeeze lime juice on top of the shrimp and veggies! Then let everyone make their own and enjoy.
