Air fryer steak

Air fryer steak

You won’t go back after cooking steak in your air fryer. Enjoy with your preferred sauce on top and serve with chips, a fresh green salad, or roasted vegetables.

Ingredients:

  1. Two steaks, each about an inch thick (ribeye, sirloin, or your favourite cut).
  2. One tablespoon of olive oil
  3. To taste, add salt and pepper.
Garlic powder, onion powder, or your preferred steak spice are optional.

Guidelines:

  1. Heat up the air fryer.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Steaks:
  • Using paper towels, pat the steaks dry to eliminate any remaining moisture. In the air fryer, this will improve their browning.
  • Coat the steaks in olive oil on both sides. This enhances flavour and aids in browning.
  • Use a lot of salt and pepper to season the steaks. For added flavour, you can also add other seasonings like onion powder, garlic powder, or your preferred steak seasoning.

Air Fry the Steaks:

  • As soon as the air fryer is ready, put the steaks inside the basket in a single layer, taking care to keep them apart.
  • Depending on the thickness and desired level of doneness, cook the steaks in the air fryer for 8 to 12 minutes. Aim for an internal temperature of about 130–135°F (54–57°C) for medium-rare, 140–145°F (60–63°C) for medium, and 160°F (71°C) for well-done.
  • To achieve equal cooking, turn the steaks using tongs halfway through the cooking time.

Rest and Serve:

  • Before serving, move the steaks to a platter and give them a few minutes to rest after they are cooked to your preference. This makes the steaks more tender and allows the liquids to disperse.
  • Enjoy the steaks served with your preferred side dishes!

Don’t forget to modify the cooking time according to your preferred level of doneness and the thickness of your steaks. Savour the steak that you air-fried!
