Blackened Salmon with Creamy Mashed Potatoes & Shrimp Broccoli Stir-Fry
A rich, flavorful, restaurant-style plate! The blackened salmon brings smoky spice, the mashed potatoes are silky with a creamy pepper sauce, and the shrimp–broccoli mix adds a savory, protein-packed side.
For the Blackened Salmon
2 salmon fillets
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp dried thyme
½ tsp chili powder
alt & pepper to taste
For Creamy Mashed Potatoes
3 medium potatoes
2 tbsp butter
¼ cup milk or cream
Salt to taste
Creamy sauce topping:
2 tbsp mayonnaise or cream
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp chili flakes
½ tsp mustard
Pinch of garlic powder
For Shrimp–Broccoli Stir-Fry
1 cup broccoli florets
6–8 shrimp, peeled
1 tsp butter or olive oil
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper
Cook the Salmon
Mix spices with olive oil.
Rub over salmon.
Sear in a pan over medium-high heat 4–5 minutes per side until blackened and crispy.
Make the Mashed Potatoes
Boil potatoes 15 minutes until soft.
Mash with butter, milk, and salt.
Mix sauce ingredients and spoon over the top.
Prepare the Shrimp–Broccoli Stir-Fry
Heat butter/oil in a pan.
Add shrimp and broccoli.
Season with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Assemble the Plate
Serve salmon beside mashed potatoes with sauce.
Add shrimp–broccoli on the side.
