Cheesy Baked Asparagus
Crisp-tender asparagus spears are roasted to perfection under a blanket of melted cheese and garlic for the ultimate cheesy veggie side dish. Quick, delicious, and totally crave-worthy!

Ingredients:
1 bunch fresh asparagus (about 1 lb), trimmed
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt & black pepper, to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella (or blend with Parmesan/cheddar)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Optional: red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, or lemon zest
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.
2. Trim the asparagus ends (snap or cut the woody bottoms).
3. Toss asparagus with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Lay in a single layer on the baking sheet.
4. Sprinkle cheeses evenly over the top. Add red pepper flakes or seasoning if using.
5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until asparagus is tender and cheese is melted and bubbly (slightly golden).
6. Serve hot, optionally garnished with lemon zest or extra Parmesan.
Tips:
Thicker asparagus = longer bake time (up to 18 mins)
Want crispier cheese Broil for the last 1–2 minutes.
Can use shredded Swiss, Gruyere, or fontina for variety.
