Ingredients

Salad

2 cups green peas (frozen, thawed or canned, drained well)

¼ cup red onion, very finely chopped

¼ cup celery, finely chopped

¼ cup cheddar cheese cubes or shredded cheese

Creamy Dressing

⅓ cup mayonnaise (or half mayo + half Greek yogurt for lighter version)

1 tsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice

½ tsp sugar or honey

Salt & black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the peas

If using frozen peas, thaw completely and pat dry.

If using canned peas, rinse and drain very well.

2️⃣ Mix the dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar or lemon juice, sugar (if using), salt, and black pepper.

3️⃣ Assemble the salad

In a mixing bowl, add peas, red onion, celery, and cheese.

Pour dressing over the salad and gently mix until evenly coated.

4️⃣ Chill & serve

Cover and refrigerate for 15–30 minutes for best flavor.

Stir once before serving.
