* 2 cloves garlic (minced)
* 1 small onion (finely chopped)
* ½ cup cream cheese (softened)
* ¼ cup heavy cream (or milk for lighter version)
* ½ cup shredded mozzarella (or cheddar)
* ¼ cup crumbled feta (optional, for Mediterranean touch)
* Salt & black pepper to taste
* ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
*For the pastry:** 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
* 1 egg (for egg wash)
* 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the filling
* Heat olive oil in a pan.
* Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic.
* Add spinach and cook until wilted (or heated through if frozen).
* Lower heat and mix in cream cheese, cream, mozzarella, and feta.
* Season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
* Cook until creamy and thick. Let it cool completely.
2. Prepare the puff pastry
* Preheat oven to *200°C (390°F)*
* Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into squares (about 3–4 inches each).
3. Assemble
* Add 1–2 tbsp filling in the center of each square.
* Fold into rectangles or triangles and seal edges (use a fork if needed).
4. Bake
* Place on a lined baking tray.
* Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds.
* Bake for *18–22 minutes* or until golden brown and puffed.
