- 1 9 inch pie crust
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup. Water
- 1 3 ounce package strawberry jello
- 4 cups fresh strawberries sliced
- Fresh whipping cream.
Instructions for Delicious Fresh Strawberry Tart Recipe
- Bake the crust according to the package guidelines.
- To keep the crust in place during baking, Line the crust with aluminum foil and bake for 8 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, add cornstarch, sugar, and water; stir until smooth.
- Bring it to a boil, then whisk for 2 minutes until it begins to thicken.
- Remove from the heat and toss in the strawberry jello until completely dissolved.
- Allow the mixture to cool for approximately 15 minutes.
- Place the strawberries in the crust and pour the chilled mixture over them.
- Refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight, until set. Serve with freshly whipped cream.
NOTES:
Strawberry pie will keep for about 2 days at room temperature or 4 to 5 days in the refrigerator if properly stored in an airtight container or wrapped in plastic wrap.
