FRIED LEMON PEPPER SALMON STICKS WITH OLD BAY BLUE CHEESE

This dish features crispy, golden-brown salmon sticks seasoned with a zesty lemon pepper coating.  INGREDIENTS:

1 lb salmon fillet, cut into strips

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs

2 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for frying

Old Bay Blue Cheese Sauce

1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup sour cream

1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning

1 tbsp lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Prepare the Salmon Sticks:

Season the salmon strips with salt, pepper, and lemon pepper seasoning.

Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.

Coat each salmon strip in flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

2. Fry the Salmon Sticks:

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.

Fry the breaded salmon sticks in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Remove and drain on paper towels.

3. Make the Old Bay Blue Cheese Sauce:

In a bowl, combine blue cheese crumbles, mayonnaise, sour cream, Old Bay seasoning, and lemon juice.

Mix until smooth and season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Serve:

Serve the fried salmon sticks hot with the Old Bay blue cheese sauce on the side for dipping.
