GARLIC BUTTER STEAK BITES AND MASH
Steak Bites are as follows:
- 1.5 pounds of ribeye or strip loin steak, cut into pieces measuring one inch in size
- minced garlic cloves, two in total
- Two tablespoons salted butter that has been softened
- You will need one tablespoon of olive oil
- one teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce.
- Thyme, dried, one teaspoon’s worth
- To taste, season with salt and pepper
And for the Mash:
- a couple of tablespoons of unsalted butter
- three to four big potatoes that have been peeled and cut into cubes
- half a cup of heavy cream or half-and-half
- salt and pepper to taste
Details to follow:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
2. Combine garlic, butter, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme in a large bowl and mix all of the ingredients together. After adding the steak cubes, toss them to ensure that they are coated.
3. Arrange the steak bits in a single layer on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Bake for twelve to fifteen minutes, or until the food reaches the degree of doneness that you choose.
4. Prepare the mash while the steak is cooking in the first step. The potatoes should be cooked in a big saucepan of salted water until they are soft. After draining, mash by adding butter, heavy cream, salt, and pepper to the mixture.
5. Place the steak bits that have been seasoned with garlic butter on top of the mash, and if you so choose, garnish them with fresh parsley or mint.
Advice:
– For the finest flavour and texture, use steak of the highest possible grade.
Cook the steak until it reaches the amount of doneness that you choose, but avoid overcooking it.
You may adjust the quantity of garlic to suit your preferences.
For an additional layer of flavour, include some shredded cheddar cheese into the mash.
