Low crab roasted cabbage pizza

Low-Carb Roasted Cabbage Pizza (Healthy & Gluten-Free)

This Low-Carb Roasted Cabbage Pizza is a clever, healthy alternative to traditional pizza. Thick roasted cabbage slices act as the “crust,” topped with simple pizza flavors—tomato sauce, cheese, and veggies. It’s naturally gluten-free, low carb, and perfect when you’re craving pizza without the heaviness.

Cook time: 30–35 minutes

Total time: ~45 minutes

Ingredients

Cabbage Base

1 medium green cabbage

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt & black pepper, to taste

Pizza Toppings

1/2 cup low-carb tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes

3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning

Optional Toppings (low-carb friendly):

Sliced olives

Bell peppers or mushrooms

Instructions

1. Preheat oven:

Preheat to 200°C / 400°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2. Prepare cabbage:

Remove outer leaves.

Cut cabbage into 1–1.5 cm thick rounds (keep the core intact so slices hold together).

3. Roast the cabbage:

Place slices on tray, brush both sides with olive oil, season with salt & pepper.

Roast for 20 minutes, flipping once, until lightly golden and tender.

4. Add pizza toppings:

Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on each cabbage slice.

Sprinkle mozzarella, Parmesan, and oregano.

Add optional toppings.

5. Bake again:

Return to oven for 10–15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Serve:

Garnish with fresh basil. Serve hot.
