🧺 Ingredients
2 Mediterranean flatbreads or naan
150 g taleggio cheese, sliced or torn
1 large red onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
Salt & black pepper
½ cup pomegranate arils
1 tablespoon fresh thyme or rosemary, finely chopped
Hot Honey
¼ cup honey
½ teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Make Hot Honey
Warm honey gently with chili flakes for 2–3 minutes. Set aside.
2️⃣ Caramelize Onions
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-low heat.
Add onions and salt; cook 10–12 minutes until soft and golden.
Finish with balsamic vinegar.
3️⃣ Assemble Flatbread
Preheat oven to 220°C / 425°F.
Place flatbreads on a tray.
Top with taleggio slices and caramelized onions.
4️⃣ Bake
Bake 12–15 minutes until cheese is bubbling and edges are crisp.
5️⃣ Finish & Serve
Top with pomegranate seeds, fresh herbs, cracked pepper, and a generous drizzle of hot honey.
