Ingredients 

½ cup rolled oats

1 cup water or unsweetened almond milk

1 small apple, peeled & diced

½ tsp cinnamon

Pinch of nutmeg or cardamom

1 tsp honey or maple syrup

Pinch of salt

Optional toppings:

Chopped walnuts or almonds

Chia or flaxseeds

Extra apple slices

Instructions

1. Cook the apples

In a saucepan, add diced apple, water/almond milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

Simmer on medium heat for 3–4 minutes until apples soften.

2. Add oats

Stir in rolled oats.

Cook 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until creamy and thick.

3. Sweeten & serve

Stir in honey or maple syrup if using.

Transfer to a bowl and add desired toppings.

Tips & Variations

Add grated apple instead of diced for extra creaminess.

Use oat milk for a richer texture.

Add orange zest or vanilla for a festive twist.
