This Stuffed Mushroom Dip is a creamy, cheesy, and savory dip inspired by classic stuffed mushrooms. It features a rich blend of cream cheese, sauteed mushrooms, garlic, Parmesan, and herbs, making it the perfect appetizer for parties, game nights, or holiday gatherings. Serve it warm with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or fresh veggies for a crowd-pleasing treat.
Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
8 oz cremini or white mushrooms, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp dried thyme (or 1 tsp fresh)
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
Instructions
1. Saute the Mushrooms:
Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
2. Add Garlic & Seasonings:
Stir in the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
3. Mix the Base:
In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth.
4. Combine Ingredients:
Stir in the sauteed mushroom mixture, Parmesan cheese, and half of the shredded mozzarella.
5. Bake:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the dip mixture to a small baking dish and spread evenly. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and optional panko breadcrumbs for extra texture.
6. Bake & Serve:
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. If desired, broil for 1-2 minutes for a golden top.
7. Garnish & Enjoy:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm with toasted bread, crackers, or vegetables.
