Air Fryer Salmon Patties

Air Fryer Salmon Patties

These crispy and golden air fryer salmon patties, use less oil while still packing a tonne of flavour! Made using salmon that has been canned, these are excellent pantry meals.

A crispy meal may be made with less oil thanks to the air fryer. There are so many delectable options, like these salmon patties, french fries, and air-fried chicken wings!

Setup Time: Fifteen minutes
Cooking Period: Eight minutes
Total Time: Twenty-three minutes

Ingredients For Air Fryer Salmon Patties:

  1. 12 ounces (or 3 125 g cans) of canned salmon, drained, mashed, and, if desired, skin and bones removed
  2. 2 eggs
  3. ¼ cup mayonnaise
  4. ¼ teaspoon salt
  5. ½ cup breadcrumbs
  6. zested lemon
  7. ½ teaspoon dried dill or two teaspoons fresh

Serving suggestions:

  • yogurt or tzatziki
  • Fresh dill
  • Slices of lemon
  • Fresh cucumber

Instructions For Air Fryer Salmon Patties:

  • Combine ingredients: in a sizable bowl, blend together salmon (drained, mashed, and skin/bones removed if desired), eggs, mayonnaise, breadcrumbs, salt, lemon zest, and dill with a spatula.
  • To measure out patties, firmly put the mixture into a ½ cup measuring cup and then tap it out into the palm of your hand.
  • Gently pat to create a patty that is uniformly thick throughout and no thicker than an inch.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 390°F. After giving the basket a quick oil spray, stuff the patties inside. Give the salmon patties’ tops a quick spray.
  • Simmer for eight minutes in total. Before the patties are fully cooked, spray one more time, maybe one to two minutes.
  • Enjoy the patties after adding the suggested toppings!

Advice:

  • You might be able to cook two to four patties at a time, depending on the size of your air fryer. There’s no need to flip if you have a basket air fryer. If you use an oven air fryer, turn the trays halfway through and watch them closely because they can finish cooking at a slightly different time.
  • After completely cooling, store in the refrigerator for up to four days in an airtight meal prep container.

Warming up again:

  • Before placing the salmon patties in the basket, preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Apply oil with a spray. Maybe give it another shot right before serving.
  • Heat for about five minutes, or until thoroughly heated. Have fun!

Making the patties in advance:

  • Form the patties and place them in a sizable meal prep container. Refrigerate. Put some wax paper in between them if you decide to stack them. Cook according to recipe card directions after storing for up to 48 hours.
  • Shape the patties in the freezer and place them on a baking sheet covered with paper. Put wax paper between the patties and freeze for two hours, or until frozen solid. Then, transfer the patties to a freezer bag or meal prep container. Remove as much air as you can, then freeze for up to three months. Thaw and cook following the recipe card’s instructions.

These crispy, golden-fried salmon patties are bursting with flavour! I adore how the tinned salmon is elevated with fresh lemon zest and dill. You’re going to adore them, I think!
