1. Mascarpone cheese
2. One cup of thickened cream for whipping
3. 1/3 cup of sugar, granulated
4. One tablespoon of optional amaretto liquor
5. One-tspn pure vanilla extract
6. One cup of room-temperature espresso
7. sixteen ladyfingers
8. One-fourth cup of cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions:

1. Use an electric or stand mixer to whip the heavy cream in a big bowl until it gets thick.
2. When stiff peaks form, add the sugar and vanilla and continue to beat.
3. Mascarpone and amaretto are added; beat for an additional one to two minutes.
4. Layer ladyfingers in the bottom of an 8 x 8 baking dish after dipping them into the espresso. This calls for roughly eight ladyfingers.
5. Drizzle half of the mascarpone mixture onto the pan of ladyfingers.
6. Dip the remaining ladyfingers and arrange them on top of the mascarpone mixture, then cover the top layer with the remaining mixture. (Optional extra step: use half of the leftover mixture in a piping bag to pipe tiny peaks across the top of the last layer to make tiny peaks on top.)
7. Refrigerate tiramisu for a minimum of three to four hours or overnight. Enjoy after slicing and serving!
