  9. Two teaspoons of minced garlic
  10. Ground ginger, 1/2 teaspoon
  11. One tablespoon water
  12. Half a tablespoon cornflour

Directions For Air Fryer Tofu with Honey Garlic Sauce

  1. Tofu should be gently pressed to eliminate excess moisture by placing it in the centre of a clean, thin dishtowel. Trim the tofu to about one inch by one inch.
  2. The squares should be put in a sizeable Ziploc bag or bowl. Add the salt, onion powder, paprika, garlic powder, and cornflour. Shake the bag or toss it until all of the tofu is coated.
  3. Coat the air fryer basket and arrange the cubes in a single layer. (Using parchment paper for an air fryer is optional for easier cleanup!) Apply cooking spray to the tofu’s tops. For eighteen minutes, set the air fryer to 360°F. Shake the basket once the ten minutes have passed. Put the tofu back in the basket in a single layer and cook it for an additional 8 minutes at 360 degrees.
  4. As the tofu is frying, place the chicken stock, honey, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic in a saucepan and heat it gently until it comes to a boil. Simmer sauce over low heat, stirring frequently, for approximately five minutes, or until flavours meld.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together cornflour and water. Pour into the pot and cook for about five minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  6. once the tofu has finished cooking. Transfer to a bowl and stir with 1/2 cup honey garlic sauce.
  7. Arrange the tofu on a plate and add more sauce as needed. Have fun!

Tips:

  • Did you know that you can buy liners made of parchment paper to make cleanup really simple? Since the bottom of these liners already has precut holes in it, neither the cooking quality nor the cooking time are impacted.
  • Don’t fill your basket too full. The only true drawback to using an air fryer for cooking is this.
  • Overloading the basket will make cooking take longer and result in less crispy tofu. Cooking in batches is the best method to prevent this.
  • To ensure that your previous batch stays crispy and doesn’t lose its crunch, keep it in the oven at a higher temperature.
