Ingredients:

8 oz fettuccine (or pasta of choice)

2 tbsp olive oil

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips or cubes

2 cups broccoli florets

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup milk (whole or 2%)

1¼ cups grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional but classic)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Cook pasta: In the last 2–3 minutes of cooking, toss in broccoli florets. Drain and set aside.

2. Season and cook chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, add oil or butter. Add chicken, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until golden brown and cooked through (6–8 minutes). Remove and set aside.

3. Make the Alfredo sauce: In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil  if needed. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds, then pour in heavy cream and milk. Bring to a gentle simmer.

4. Add cheese :Parmesan, whisking constantly until melted and smooth. Stir in nutmeg, salt, and pepper.

5. Combine everything: Add chicken and broccoli back to the skillet, then toss in the cooked pasta. Stir until everything is coated and heated through.

6. Serve: immediately, topped with extra Parmesan, parsley, and red pepper flakes if desired.

Tips:

Use rotisserie chicken for a shortcut.

Steam or microwave broccoli if you prefer more tender florets.

Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for an extra twist.

Swap in gluten-free pasta or whole wheat for dietary preferences.
