Classic Slow Cooker Pot Roast: This succulent pot roast, along with aromatic potatoes and carrots, is the ideal comfort food to eat on hectic days.

Ingredients for Classic Slow Cooker Pot Roast :

  • 3 lbs chuck roast
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 large carrots, cut into chunks
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

Instructions for Classic Slow Cooker Pot Roast :

  • Season the chuck roast well with salt and pepper, then sear it in olive oil over medium-high heat for three to four minutes on each side, or until browned on both sides.
  • Second, move to the slow cooker.
  • Add the minced garlic and chopped onion to the slow cooker after they have been cooked for two minutes in the same pan.
  • In the slow cooker, arrange the potatoes and carrots around the roast.
  • Stir gently to combine the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, thyme, and rosemary.
  • Cook until the roast is soft and shreds easily, 8 to 9 hours on low or 4 to 5 hours on high.
  • Present the roast hot with potatoes, carrots, and a little liquid.
  • If preferred, garnish with fresh parsley.
