These zesty fries are made by slicing fresh jalapeños into strips, coating them in a seasoned breadcrumb mix, and baking or air-frying until golden. They’re bold, addictive, and surprisingly easy to make!

Ingredients

6–8 large jalapeños, sliced into fry-sized strips (remove seeds for less heat)

1/4 cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for low carb)

1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs (or crushed pork rinds for keto)

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp paprika powder

Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

1.Preheat Oven/Air Fryer:

  •     Oven: 200°C (400°F)
  •     Air fryer: 200°C (400°F) for faster crisping

2. Set Up Dredging Station:

  1.     Bowl 1: Flour
  2.     Bowl 2: Beaten egg
  3.     Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs mixed with spices

3. Coat the Jalapeños:

Toss strips in flour, dip in egg, then coat well with breadcrumbs.

4. Cook:

  1.   Oven: Place on a lined tray and spray with oil. Bake 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.
  2.  Air Fryer: Cook in a single layer for 7–9 minutes, shaking once.

5. Serve:

Serve hot with ranch, sour cream, or spicy mayo.

Notes & Tips

Less Heat: Remove all seeds and ribs for milder fries.

Low-Carb Version: Use almond flour + crushed pork rinds.

Extra Crunch: Double dip in egg and crumbs for thicker coating.

Storage: Best fresh, but you can re-crisp in the air fryer.
