Cucumber “Bang” (Spicy Zesty Snack)
Ingredients
- 3–4 mini cucumbers (or 2 large), sliced
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 1–2 tsp chili oil (or chili flakes 🌶️)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp sugar or honey (optional)
- ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- Optional: fresh dill or cilantro
Instructions
1. Prep cucumbers
- Slice cucumbers into rounds (or smash them lightly for more texture)
2. Make the “bang” sauce
In a bowl, mix:
- Garlic
- Soy sauce
- Vinegar
- Chili oil
- Sesame oil
- Sugar, salt, and pepper
3. Toss & marinate
- Pour sauce over cucumbers
- Toss well to coat evenly
- Let sit for 10–15 minutes (or longer for stronger flavor)
4. Finish
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and herbs on top
- Serve chilled or at room temp
Tips
- The longer it sits, the more flavorful it gets
- Smash cucumbers slightly for better sauce absorption
- Keep it in the fridge for a super refreshing snack
