Greek Halloumi Mezze Platter with Lemon Drizzle

Ingredients

Grilled Halloumi

250 g halloumi cheese, sliced

1 tbsp olive oil

Freshly cracked black pepper

Mezze Components

½ cup hummus

½ cup tzatziki

 

½ cup marinated olives (Kalamata & green)

 

1 cup cherry tomatoes

 

1 small cucumber, sliced

 

1 roasted red pepper, sliced

 

Warm pita bread or flatbread, cut into wedges

 

Lemon Drizzle

 

3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

 

Zest of ½ lemon

 

1½ tbsp fresh lemon juice

 

½ tsp dried oregano

 

Pinch of salt

 

Directions

 

Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Brush halloumi slices lightly with olive oil.

 

Grill halloumi for 2–3 minutes per side until golden with crisp edges. Season lightly with black pepper.

 

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, oregano, and salt to create the drizzle.

 

Arrange grilled halloumi on a large platter. Surround with hummus, tzatziki, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, roasted red pepper, and warm pita.

 

Spoon lemon drizzle over the halloumi just before serving. Serve immediately as a shared mezze platter.
