Ingredients

1½ cups sharp white cheddar cheese, finely shredded

8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened

1 tbsp Greek yogurt or sour cream

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 small garlic clove, finely grated

1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped

Black pepper, to taste

Coating

¾ cup fresh pomegranate arils

1 tbsp chopped parsley or chives

Instructions

1. Mix cheese base

In a bowl, combine cream cheese, white cheddar, yogurt (if using), Dijon, garlic, chives, and black pepper.

Mix until smooth and well blended.

2. Shape

Scoop mixture onto plastic wrap and shape into a smooth ball.

Wrap tightly and refrigerate 1 hour to firm.

3. Coat

Spread pomegranate arils and herbs on a plate.

Roll chilled cheese ball gently until evenly coated.

4. Serve

Place on a serving platter.

Serve with whole-grain crackers, crostini, or apple slices.
