Ingredients Quick n Easy 3-ingredients Sausage Balls :

  • 1 pound ground pork sausage, at room temperature
  • 2 cups biscuit baking mix
  • 1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded

Optional ingredients include black pepper, cayenne pepper, sliced onions, celery, red pepper flakes, diced jalapenos, pimento cheese, Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder.

Instructions for Quick n Easy 3-ingredients Sausage Balls 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit/175 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the room temperature sausage and biscuit mix; use your hands to blend thoroughly.
  3. Add the shredded Cheddar cheese and stir until well combined.
  4. Roll the mixture into approximately 30 walnut-sized balls and place on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the sausage is golden brown and cooked through.

NOTES:

  •  These sausage balls are an excellent make-ahead breakfast or appetizer.
  • Follow the method above until Step 3, then cool the sausage balls to room temperature.
  • Freeze in an airtight container. When ready to use, reheat at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) for 10 minutes.
  • Let the sausage balls cool before transferring them to an airtight container. Keep in the fridge for three to four days. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
  • To freeze uncooked sausage balls, roll them out and set them on a baking sheet.
  • Flash freeze them overnight before transferring to zip-top freezer bags.
