Vanilla Cinnamon Sugar Christmas Bites

 

Ingredients

For the Dough

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla powder or alcohol-free vanilla extract

1 tsp baking powder

Pinch of salt

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

 

Optional Finish

 

Powdered sugar for dusting

 

Directions

 

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

 

In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

 

Beat in egg and vanilla until well combined.

 

In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.

 

Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients to form a soft dough.

 

In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.

 

Roll dough into small bite-size balls.

 

Roll each ball generously in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

 

Place on baking tray, leaving space between each bite.

 

Bake for 10–12 minutes until just set and lightly golden on the bottom.

 

Cool slightly; dust with powdered sugar if desired.

 

Serve warm or at room temperature for a festive holiday treat.
