Air-Fryer Ravioli
These Air-Fryer Ravioli make a delicious appetiser or afternoon snack. Accompany them with your preferred marinara sauce for a dip! Almost every restaurant we went to while visiting a friend, had fried ravioli. I had to try to recreate them when I got home, and this recipe for air-fried ravioli comes very close.
Total Prep Time: 20 minutes. Cook: 10 minutes per batch.

Ingredients For Air-Fryer Ravioli:
- A cup of bread crumbs seasoned
- 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, shredded
- Two tsp of dried basil
- Half a cup of all-purpose flour
- Two big eggs, whisked just enough
- One container of nine ounces of thawed frozen beef ravioli with cooking spray
- Optional fresh minced basil
- One cup of warmed marinara sauce
Instructions For Air-Fryer Ravioli:
- Set the air fryer to 350 degrees. Combine bread crumbs, basil, and Parmesan cheese in a small basin. Put the eggs and flour into different small basins. Coat the ravioli on both sides with flour, then shake off any excess. After dipping in eggs, coat with crumb mixture, patting to ensure adhesion.
- Place the ravioli in the air fryer basket in batches, in a single layer, and mist with cooking spray. Cook for 3–4 minutes, or until golden brown. Flip and mist with cooking spray. Cook for a further 3–4 minutes, or until golden brown. Sprinkle immediately with extra Parmesan cheese and basil, if desired. Warm up and serve with marinara sauce.
Can ravioli be fried rather than boiled?
Of course! If you prefer to cook these on the stove top without the use of an air fryer, you may fry them in approximately 1/2′′ of oil, which is just enough to brown both sides.
Can frozen ravioli be cooked in an air fryer?
Most of the time, sure. But frozen ravioli is not what I suggest using for this recipe. Since the ravioli will be breaded, it must cook somewhat rapidly. Thaw the ravioli before coating if all you have is frozen.
Can I make the fried ravioli ahead of time and freeze it?
Absolutely! This is a terrific party dish that can be flash frozen after preparation (coating in bread crumbs). After that, just air fried them all in a freezer bag before serving. It could be necessary to extend the cooking time by one or two minutes.
Storage: While the Fried Ravioli tastes best served immediately, leftovers can be kept in the refrigerator for three to five days in an airtight container. Reheat in the air fryer for two to three minutes, or until thoroughly heated, at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Advice and Remarks:
- Use frozen or fresh ravioli. Fully frozen won’t work, but either will!
- Get the air fryer ready. Before you add the ravioli, make sure the air fryer is nice and hot. When the ravioli is inside, it may heat up to the point where the outside burns before the inside is fully done.
- Apply cooking spray that isn’t aerosol. The coating of the air fryer basket may be harmed by cooking sprays that contain aerosol.
- Avoid packing too many people in. Before cooking, make sure the ravioli is in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. It will not crisp up properly if stacked.
- Serve right away! Serve your ravioli hot and right out of the air fryer for the finest crispy texture!
- Make use of another ravioli. I adore ravioli made with fresh cheese.
Serving Ideas:
- Serve this Fried Ravioli with a side of tomato marinara sauce for dipping as a perfect light lunch, supper, or snack.
- You can add bread sticks, roasted green beans, garlic bread, or a basic side salad to this dinner to make it more substantial.
