Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats (grind lightly into coarse oat flour)

¼ cup cocoa powder

½ tsp baking powder

Pinch of salt

Wet Ingredients

2 ripe bananas OR ½ cup applesauce

¼ cup honey or maple syrup (natural sweetener)

2 tbsp coconut oil or melted butter

1 egg (optional; makes it fudgier)

1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional Mix-ins

¼ cup dark chocolate chips (sugar-free preferred)

A handful of chopped walnuts

Instructions

1. Prep

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)

Line a small baking pan with parchment paper

2. Make Oat Flour

Blend oats lightly into a coarse powder (not too fine)

3. Mix Wet Ingredients

In a bowl, mash bananas.
Add:

honey/maple

egg

coconut oil

vanilla
Mix well.

4. Add Dry Ingredients

Add:

oat flour

cocoa powder

baking powder

salt

Mix until smooth and thick.
Fold in chocolate chips (optional).

5. Bake

Spread batter into the pan.
Bake 18–22 minutes until the top sets
(Do NOT overbake; brownies continue to set as they cool.)

6. Cool & Serve

Let cool 10–15 minutes before cutting.
Top with a sprinkle of oats — just like the picture.

Tips

  • For extra fudgy brownies → add 2 tbsp yogurt
  • For denser texture → don’t overbake
  • For vegan → skip egg & use maple syrup + coconut oil

Variations

Chocolate Chunk Oat Brownies

Add big chunks of dark chocolate.
