AIR FRYER BUTTERFLY DRUMSTICKS (BUTTERFLIED CHICKEN LEGS)

Looking for a fast and straightforward way to make butterflied chicken legs in the air fryer? These Air Fryer Butterfly Drumsticks super easy to make, low carb, quick, delicious, and full of flavor! Ingredients:

  1. 6 chicken drumsticks
  2. 1 tablespoon oil
  3. 1 teaspoon paprika
  4. 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  5. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  6. ½ teaspoon onion powder
  7. ½ teaspoon salt
  8. ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

DIRECTIONS:

Cook the chicken and divide it.

  1. Dry-pat the chicken. Lay it out on a cutting board, then cut one side, working your way from the thicker to the thinner end. Spread it open to resemble a wing.

 

Combine salt and seasoning.

  1. Give the chicken some seasoning.
  2. Drizzle oil over butterflied chicken legs and then add blend of chicken spice. Stir until all of the chicken is nicely seasoned.

Air fry

  1. Transfer seasoned chicken to air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F / 200°C for 25 mins flipping half way through cooking time. Smaller drumsticks will cook in less time. The internal temperature should be at least 165°F / 74°C to be considered fully cooked and safe to eat.

Oven Instructions:

Set oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) or Gas Mark 6.
Put the chicken with seasonings on a baking pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F/74°C, in a preheated oven. Don’t forget to turn the chicken over halfway through cooking.
