AIR FRYER GOLDFISH MAC AND CHEESE BITES
- One package (7.25 ounces) of mac and cheese
- 1/4 cup softened cream cheese
- two tsp Split and additional Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Wings Hot Sauce (or Frank’s Red Hot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce) for serve.
- One egg
- One tablespoon of water
- 1 1/2 cups finely crushed Franks Red Hot Goldfish
Directions:
- Prepare the macaroni and cheese as directed on the package, adding the cheese pouch and mixing in 1 tablespoon of the Buffalo Wings Sauce and cream cheese. Apply nonstick cooking spray to the cups of the 24-count mini muffin pan. Evenly distribute the mac and cheese mixture among the little muffin cups. Wrap in plastic wrap. Freeze for a whole day or night.
- In a shallow bowl, WHISK the egg, water, and remaining 1 tablespoon Buffalo Wings Sauce. Transfer the Goldfish crumbs to a different shallow dish. Take the cheese and mac out of the freezer. Use a knife to cut the bites’ edges apart from the pan. After dipping the mac and cheese bits into the egg mixture, coat them with Goldfish crumbs.
- SPRAY frying spray that doesn’t stick to the air fryer basket. Turn the air fryer on for three minutes at 350°F. Working in batches if necessary, arrange the bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Apply a thin layer of nonstick cooking spray on the bits.
- Air fry for ten to twelve minutes, or until crisp and golden brown. Continue with the remaining bites. If preferred, serve with more Buffalo Wings Sauce for dipping.
- Test Kitchen Tip: You can use Frank’s RedHot® Buffalo Wings Sauce as a dipping sauce for appetisers by combining it with ketchup or ranch dressing.
•Before freezing for Buffalo Chicken Goldfish Mac & Cheese Bites, add around 1/2 cup of shredded or finely diced rotisserie chicken to the mac and cheese mixture.
