Ingredients:

1. 2 cans (about 170g each) of tuna, drained
2. 1 cup frozen peas
3. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4. ½ cup mayonnaise
5. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
6. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
7. Salt and pepper to taste
8. 4 sheets of puff pastry, thawed
9. 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Directions:

1. Get the Filling Ready:
   The drained tuna, frozen peas, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped parsley, lemon juice, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper should all be combined in a bowl. Stir thoroughly to ensure that all ingredients are combined equally.
2. Get the pastry ready:

   Arrange the sheets of thawed puff pastry onto a sanitised surface. Each sheet should be cut into squares that are big enough to hold the tuna filling.

3. Put the Parcels Together:
   Put a dollop of the tuna mixture in the middle of every square of dough. To form a triangle or parcel, fold the crust over the filling. To seal, firmly press the edges together. For a decorative touch, you can crimp the edges using a fork.
4. Preheat the Air Fryer: Give your air fryer a few minutes of preheating at 375°F (190°C).
5. Apply an egg wash brush:

   Give each tuna bundle a quick egg wash. When they are cooked, this will give them a polished finish and a golden brown colour.

6. Air Fry: Arrange the tuna parcels in a single layer, making sure they don’t touch, into the heated air fryer basket. The size of your air fryer will determine whether you need to cook them in batches.
   Cook for ten to twelve minutes, or until the pastry is crispy and golden brown.
7. When ready to serve, take the tuna mornay packages out of the air fryer and allow them to cool for a few minutes.
   Garnish with more parsley, chopped, or with a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.

Tips:

• Don’t Overfill: To avoid the pastry pieces popping open while cooking, take care not to pack too much tuna mixture inside of them.
• Seal Correctly: To stop the filling from escaping as the pastry packets cook, make sure the edges are packed tightly.
• Even Cooking: Fill the air fryer basket with the parcels in a single layer, allowing room between them to allow for adequate air circulation. This helps them crisp up nicely and guarantees even frying.
• Check for Doneness: To prevent overcooking, keep a watch on the tuna packages as the cooking time comes to a close. The outsides should be crispy and golden brown.
• Serve with a Side: For a full dinner, tuna mornay parcels go nicely with steamed veggies or a side salad. They also make a great snack or appetizer for parties or gatherings.
