Ingredients:
For the Garlic Bread:
- 1 loaf French bread, sliced in half lengthwise
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
For the Shrimp Filling:
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- For the Sandwich:
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- Additional butter for grilling
Method:
- First, get the garlic bread ready:
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
Combine the butter that has been melted, the garlic that has been minced, the Parmesan cheese, and the parsley in a small bowl. - Each side of the French bread should have an equal amount of the garlic butter mixture spread on it.
- Make sure to place them on a baking sheet and bake them for ten to twelve minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
To prepare the prawns: - In a skillet, bring the olive oil to a temperature of medium.
Add some salt, pepper and paprika to the prawns before cooking them.
If you want the prawns to be pink and cooked all the way through, fry them for two to three minutes on each side. Take away from the heat.
Putting together the sandwich: - The shrimp that has been cooked should be layered on one side of the garlic bread, and Monterey Jack cheese should be sprinkled on top.
To ensure that the second half of the bread sticks to the surface, place it on top and gently push down. - Add a little amount of butter to a pan that is already heated over medium heat.
- Place the sandwich on the pan with care, and on the grill, cook it for about three to four minutes on each side, or until the cheese has melted and the bread has toasted.
- The pieces should be cut and served hot.
