Ingredients For Citrus Marinated Olives

  • 1/4 cup of olive oil that is extra-virgin
  • One-fourth of a teaspoon of crushed red pepper beans
  • A pair of fresh thyme sprigs
  • 1. One clove of garlic, cut very thinly
  • In addition to one teaspoon of lemon juice, one strip of lemon zest that has been extracted with a vegetable peeler
  • In addition to one tablespoon of orange juice, one strip of orange zest that has been extracted with a vegetable peeler
  • Black pepper that has been freshly crushed and Kosher salt
  • 1 cup of olives from Castelvetrano

Directions For  Citrus Marinated Olives

The olive oil should be heated in a small saucepan at a temperature of medium. After adding the red pepper flakes, thyme, garlic, lemon zest, orange zest, salt, and pepper to taste, continue to simmer the mixture while stirring it regularly for approximately two minutes, or until the garlic has turned a pale golden color. Put the olives in the pan and swirl them about for approximately two minutes, or until they are barely warm. Please turn off the heat. After incorporating the lemon juice and orange juice, put the mixture to a serving dish or jar for aesthetic purposes. Serve either very hot or at room temperature.
